The Device

Introducing the GCell Autologous Tissue Processing Device

The GCell is a FDA cleared, closed-system medical device engineered for same-session autologous tissue processing. Designed for point-of-care clinic use, it mechanically cleanses, refines, and concentrates a patient's own adipose or hair-derived tissue through slicing, mincing, filtration, washing, and centrifugation — all within a single, streamlined procedure. GCell uses no enzymatic digestion, no collagenase, no trypsin, and no chemical additives, preserving the tissue's native architecture throughout.

GCell Technology

How the GCell Processes Tissue

GCell does not extract or isolate stem cells as a standalone product. Instead, the platform mechanically processes a patient's own tissue through slicing, mincing, filtration, washing, and centrifugation — reducing blood, oils, fluid byproducts, and debris while preserving the tissue's native architecture. During this tissue separation process, the adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs) naturally present in the tissue become concentrated, along with other resident progenitor cell populations, pericytes, stromal vascular fraction elements, extracellular matrix components, and signaling cytokines.

This natural concentration of the tissue's own cellular and structural components — not a purified or cultured cell product — is what makes the resulting graft valuable for supporting the body's structural repair and healing processes. No enzymatic digestion, no cell culturing, no cell expansion, and no foreign chemical additives are used at any stage.

Therapy type 1

Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (AD-MSCs)

Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs) are naturally occurring, multipotent progenitor cells present within a patient's own adipose tissue. During GCell's mechanical tissue processing — through washing, sizing, and centrifugation — these naturally resident AD-MSCs along with stromal vascular fraction elements, endothelial progenitor cells, pericytes, macrophages, and regulatory T-cells, become concentrated within the resulting graft, along with other progenitor cell populations, extracellular matrix components, and signaling cytokines.

Naturally Occurring Properties

  • Naturally occurring immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory signaling properties
  • Paracrine secretion of growth factors and cytokines — naturally present in adipose tissue
  • Capacity to support structural repair and the body's healing environment
  • 100% autologous, patient-matched tissue

Therapy Type 2

Hair-Derived Tissue Processing for Physician-Directed Scalp Applications

Unipotent Progenitors

Naturally occurring, lineage-restricted progenitor cells found in the hair bulge and germ — concentrated during mechanical tissue processing without enzymatic digestion or cell expansion.

Keratinocytes

Naturally present structural cells of the hair shaft. Keratinocyte progenitors in the follicle bulge are preserved within the tissue graft during GCell's closed-loop mechanical processing.

Melanocyte Stem Cells

Naturally occurring pigment-producing progenitors present in hair-bearing tissue, concentrated within the refined graft during same-session tissue processing.

By mechanically processing biopsied hair-bearing tissue — without enzymatic digestion, cell culturing, or chemical additives — the GCell enables clinicians to prepare a refined autologous tissue graft for physician-directed scalp applications. This supports hair transplant procedures and scalp tissue handling using cells derived entirely from the patient's own follicular tissue, reintroduced during the same surgical session.

Clinical Applications

A Platform for Multiple Physician Specialties

Orthopedics & Sports Medicine

Physician-directed autologous tissue processing for orthopedic and sports medicine applications. The refined tissue graft supports structural cushioning, volume filling, and the body's healing environment in joint and soft tissue procedures.

Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine

Autologous tissue processing for aesthetic medicine applications. The refined graft — rich in naturally occurring growth factors, ECM components, and signaling cytokines — supports structural volume filling and tissue handling as a natural alternative to synthetic fillers.

Hair Restoration & Transplantation

Mechanical, non-enzymatic processing of biopsied hair-bearing tissue for physician-directed scalp applications. Supports hair transplant procedures and scalp tissue handling using the patient's own follicular tissue, reintroduced in the same surgical session.

Regulatory & Safety Profile

Designed for Compliance. Built for Clinical Confidence.

Regulatory Status

The GCell is a FDA-registered medical device manufactured in compliance with international standards for autologous tissue processing. RenuvoGen supports U.S.-based clinics in navigating FDA guidelines for point-of-care, same-surgical-procedure autologous tissue use under the Section 361 HCT/P framework. As a closed, non-expanded, same-session mechanical processing system, the GCell is designed to satisfy FDA's minimal manipulation and homologous use standards under 21 CFR Part 1271.

Key Safety & Compliance Advantages

Closed System

No open processing — eliminates environmental contamination risk throughout the entire mechanical tissue processing workflow.

Autologous Only

100% patient-matched tissue — zero risk of immune rejection, disease transmission, or donor-matching complications. Tissue is removed and reintroduced into the same patient during the same procedure.

No Cell Expansion

Tissue is mechanically processed and reintroduced in the same session — no enzymatic digestion, no cell culturing, no cell expansion, and no foreign chemical additives. Fully compliant with the minimal manipulation standard.
